What does it take to have a Breakthrough mindset?

Have you ever thought to yourself, wow that person is always excited? What does he/she have that I don’t? Have you ever met someone and you knew anything and everything they touch would turn to gold? Well I have and it didn’t take me long to figure out that  the reason they were so excited, happy, and super successful was that they all created and maintain a breakthrough Mindset. These characteristics not secrets but simple and anyone  can learn and master if they practice and take action. The challenge is that most people say they want to have a breakthrough mindset, but aren’t willing to put the action in play to develop the traits of the ultra successful people. In this brief post I’ll give you the Five Factor of developing a Breakthrough Mindset. But before I do let me ask you this, Do you Deserve to know these Five Factors? It’s Not About Breaking Down But Breaking Through

There is a whole new world of living outside of this picture. Do not fall prey to this lifestyle.

It is not an uncommon act to see individuals beating their bodies up beyond a safe point when it comes to nutrition and exercise.

We live in a society of extremes and forget how to balance our lives out and live a healthy life in the middle. One extreme is very common and often published in papers. That is the extreme of overeating and lack of or zero exercise. That extreme we call the overweight or obese population. Granted, there has to do more to that population then just those two variables, but for simplicity sake we will just use exercise and nutrition.

The population that gets overlooked are what we label as the “gym rat” or “cardio queen”. These two populations go to the extreme of over training and under eating. They believe in pumping up the hours in the gym while maintaining an excessively low nutrition lifestyle.

Now logically it makes sense, because we have all done it. But when it comes down to the facts and stories, its harmful. It’s not about how much you can break your body down, rather how many breakthroughs can you have with your body and mind.

Those “gym rats” and “cardio queens” have such an addiction to vanity that they can’t help but exercise all the time and restrict their lives of healthy eating. What kind of life is that? This is not me bashing. It’s a way of teaching you that there are other ways to create the body you deserve without killing yourself.

Let’s start with the basic symptoms of over training, and I will discuss in another post ways to avoid it and techniques to train smart and eat smart. If you feel any of these symptoms, take a few days of rest or even a week and come back to the gym with a plan(marked in red are generally the ones that pop up first):

* Washed-out feeling, tired, drained, lack of energy
* Mild leg soreness, general aches and pains
* Pain in muscles and joints
* Sudden drop in performance
* Insomnia
* Headaches
* Decreased immunity (increased number of colds, and sore throats)
* Decrease in training capacity / intensity
* Moodiness and irritability
* Depression
* Decreased appetite
* Increased incidence of injuries.
* A compulsive need to exercise

Again it’s about creating breakthroughs with your body and not so much of how badly you can break your body down. If you are part of this extreme, I challenge you to change for 30 days. Rest for a few days and then plan on cutting down your exercising and increasing your nutritional intake.

WARNING!!! It is not uncommon to see yourself gain a few pounds when changing like this. You are creating a shock to the body, so give it time to adjust. Usually while overtrained, your metabolism is very low. Allow your body to adjust back to a normal way of living and I promise the results will be even better. Ride the wave and come out victorious.

As a health professional there are times I feel I’m too passionate. Todaywas one of those days my passion was tested. I let my passion show my disappointment in a client because they told me something they had eaten and I was really disappointed that they would choose such a horrible poison to inject into their body. I only had about 15 minutes remaining in the hour long session, but it felt a lot longer. The client I’m referring to is a great person and I can’t wait to see the new person they become once the release the extra weight which is holding them back from being all they can be. Life is meant to be lived, and if you’re not at a healthy body weight it’s really tough to enjoy life.

As i write this post I’m starting to answer my own question, No you can’t have too much passion when it come to a person life. As a profession Wellness coach it is my duty to let everyone who can receive my message that eating crap and not exercising will lead to a slow and painful death. I’m committed to spreading the word that your health is the most important activity in your life. I’m not running for office so if you don’t like it…Deal-with-it ! Breakthrough Massage Uncovers A Ticking Time Bomb

Tick Tick Tick…boom!

Just received an amazing massage today from Melissa Argentina, co-founder of Touch Evolution in Roslyn. What the breakthrough was that Melissa uncovered some alarming areas that she felt could be detrimental to my body a few months to a few years down the line.

Now many people think of a massage as a relaxing luxury (which it can be), but I want to challenge you to think of it as an educational lesson. I was able to relax today, but I could not shut up because I wanted to hear what melissa saw and felt via manual therapy.

I am very intuned with my body, so anything a professional uncovers, I want to know about. What was uncovered was a contralateral issue. My right hip and hip flexor was extremely tight (which was creating pressure on my lumbar spine) along with my left lat which was adding some extra stress across the opposite side. If uncorrected, especially due to the heavy weights I like to lift, I could put my body into serious trouble.

Now most people would ignore advice like that. I treasure it. I valued Melissa’s opinion so much, that I would refer anyone and everyone to visit Touch Evolution for a complete body analysis. This puts a roadblock in my goals, but the health of my body is more important that any amount of weight I can lift. To tell you the truth, I wouldn’t be surprised that my weights go up when I work on creating more balance within my body.

My training will transistion from heavy weights to lighter controlled functional movements. I must undo certain patterns and recreate new ones that will create that balance I deserve. Stay tuned for future posts. I will create video of some of the functional exercises and stretches I need to incorporate into my plan.

What is mindset?  We hear the word used everyday in different areas of our lives, but what does it mean to you? Here’s what I found online; A fixed state of mind; A fixed mental attitude or disposition that predetermines a person’s responses to and interpretations of situations. They both work for me. A persons mindset determines how he or she will react or respond in a certain situation. How a person reacts is a key fundamental when it comes to creating the body you desire.

As Coach Greg Kalafatic posted in a previous posting on Saturday October 25, I have transformed my body many times, and I will not begin to tell you it was easy. Simple yes, because I used the 4 keys to a Newbody transformation.  In this post I will cover each of these fours keys, and in addition, I will offer 15 minutes of Wellness Coaching to anyone who comments and leaves feedback about this post.

You’re going be amazed at how simple it is to create the body you desire. This system can be used in any area of your life. It has assisted me in my career as a Top Wellness Coach, Bodybuilder, and becoming the person that attracts great people into my life.

How to use the 4 Keys:

  • First you have to Decide what it is you really want to achieve. Deciding is the starting point of all your success’s or failures.  
  • Second step is Creating the Plan. The plan is super important because without it you will be like a sailboat with no sail. A great quote I love to share is, “Fail to Plan, and you Plan to Fail.” The plan give you a step by step map to follow and keep you going in the right direction.
  • Third is Visualizing the End. I can’t stress this enough. Visualization has assisted so many successful people because it works. The subconscious mind is super powerful, and we can use it to our benefit if we simply trust it. In order for this to work you have to do it daily, and always put yourself in the positive state of mind prior to your success visualization session. It doesn’t have to be long, just 5 minutes daily will greatly assist you in your process to reach the new body transformation you’re striving to achieve. Keeping your  End in Mind throughout the transformation process will keep you focused when times get rough and I promise you they will.  
  • Last but not least Never Quit. Quitting is never an option. When you set your sights on a goal, always finish it. Life is about finishing what you start. The main reason we have so many diets, gyms, and Bullshit Weight loss systems is because people are always seeking the next best Gimmick. Today was the first Breakthroughs To Fitness Nutritional Workshop held at Two World’s Dance and Fitness center in Greenvale NY. Today was a defining moment for the B2F Team and a  Huge step in the right direction for the company. I was very pleased with the turnout, and can’t wait to schedule and rip another workshop with more powerful inspiring content.

Fear of public speaking is a true fear for so many people throughout the world. Today Greg, Sharron and I got our feet wet and Jumped into the Public Speaking arena. We hosted our first of many B2F Nutritional workshops. Our theme was Exposing the Three Lies that’s Keeping America Fat.

She has the same vision and personal mission as Greg and I do, and that is why we knew from the start she would make a great addition to our team.

Greg kalafatic opened the workshop with a strong presentation and passionate person account of his rise in the fitness industry. He then skillfully passed the torch to me like a seasoned professional, and I was off and running. We wrapped the workshop up by Raffling off a Free NBT Course to a very deserving B2F client.

Keeping your Word!

As the president and founder of one of the fastest growing wellness companies in the tri-state area, It is very important that we stay true to our mission and our vision. In addition to staying true, we must always keep our word to our clients, customers and friends. All B2F Team members follow the same principle of keeping our word, and staying true to our mission.

Keeping your word;  What does that mean to you? I can tell you that yesterday was a beautiful day, and when I woke up with a killer stomach ache, and a migrane the last thing on my mind was keeping my word. I had promised, and committed to a fellow entrepreneur and health coach that I would participate in his annual stick ball game. I knew it was going to be a hour drive both ways, and I really didn’t want to invest two hours of this wonderful day driving in New York traffic. This is when the hours of reading personal development books, listening to audio recording, and preparing myself for the tough decisions kicked in. I knew I had to show-up and play, because I had given my Word. My word is very important to me, and I don’t break it for anything. This philosophy has served me well over the last 7 years. I say 7 years because I haven’t practiced this philosophy my whole life. I went to the game and had a great time. stick ball is really fun, but I would have robbed myself of the opportunity if I would have not kept my word. Life is all about staying true to who you are, and keeping your word.

If you set a goal to run 3 time next week, Keep your word to yourself. It’s what you do daily that will make a huge impact on your life.
